Nurton Developments has attracted another tenant to its Grade II listed 11 Waterloo Street offices in Birmingham, which is also home to the Birmingham based developer.
HGF, one of the top intellectual property firms in the country, has chosen Birmingham for its tenth office within the UK and joins other lettings within the past 12 months at 11 Waterloo Street including Camargue PR and the first Turkey Trade Commission outside London. Tenant, Marston’s, has also recently undergone a refurb of its Bennett’s Hill premises.
Dr Chris Moore, who heads up HGF’s new Birmingham office and specialises in aerospace, automotive and cleantech industries said: “Clearly my background has a strong fit with the region’s skill sets. Innovation and Research & Development (R&D) is at the heart of many of the Midlands’ industries and universities and so Birmingham offered a good central hub to service the area.”
Located in the heart of Birmingham’s traditional core, the accommodation at 11 Waterloo has been skillfully refurbished into modern contemporary offices whilst retaining a number of the buildings period features.
Jones Lang LaSalle and CBRE act as joint agents on the building and as Theo Holmes from CBRE says: “11 Waterloo Street offers several high spec offices in small suites which are all now let, however Nurton does have the option to let the top floor of the building which is currently its own headquarters and offers an additional 3715 sq ft of space.”
Rupert Young from Nurton Developments added: “We have been very active across our portfolio in the past 12 months and continue to add value to our schemes which range from landmark offices to multi-let industrial estates.
“Our strength is in creating high quality working environments to suit all levels of businesses and working with tenants to achieve long term relationships. We work with them to grow their facilities as they develop and are delighted to see companies such as HGF moving to the city.”
The Birmingham based developer is currently looking for office and industrial asset management opportunities across the Midlands and in key cities throughout the UK including Bristol, Leeds and Manchester.
