Trigate serves up another letting

One of the leading education catering specialists, Alliance in Partnership (AiP) which this year underwent a management buyout, has taken 2900 sq ft at Nurton Developments’ TriGate House to expand its business.

AiP, previously based in Oldbury, West Midlands has sales of more than £14m and is on target to reach £22 million this year. It employs over 800 people and operates more than 250 school catering contracts, feeding circa 55,000 pupils a day across central England and West London.

Benefiting from increased space and managed offices at TriGate House, David Weller, managing director from Alliance in Partnership said:

‘We chose TriGate because of its location, image and service really. It’s fairly central for staff to travel to and makes a statement about the business and crucially at the present time provides room for growth. We’ve already won 34 new contracts this year alone and with the introduction of universal free school meals and the acquisition of Class Catering in August 2014 we are well placed to achieve our increased turnover target.”

TriGate is a striking 73,000 sq ft blue and grey clad building positioned on a prominent corner position of the Hagley Road West and Wolverhampton Road cross roads, just a short distance from the city centre.

Keith Simkins from Nurton Developments added: “TriGate has attracted a good range of small to medium sized, market leading companies this year. Many are looking to expand and want a building which doesn’t carry the overheads of the city centre but still offers a landmark site well known to the business community, being on one of the main arterial routes in and out of the city.

“TriGate has always been a consistent performer even through the economic low, so as occupiers gain more confidence and the market returns we anticipate a good level of interest in the remaining xxx sq ft of space.”

Nurton Developments refurbished TriGate in 2009, spending £1.5 million to offer city standard accommodation at more competitive rates. The building has Flexibase, a serviced office operator in place on two of the floors.
