Nurton Developments has announced a further land sale to Lovell Homes for the development of 190 new homes at their Branston Locks development in Burton upon Trent.
The scheme, which includes both affordable homes and homes for private rental, will provide much needed new accommodation for families looking for new energy efficient homes to rent in the area.
Ian Willicombe of Nurton Developments commented. "This sale underlines our strategy to cater to all needs within the community and provide an inclusive mix of market housing for both purchase and rent .
"We now have land sales completed, or contracted, for some 900 of the 2500 new homes that this scheme is able to deliver and despite difficult market conditions, it's clear that providing serviced land parcels within an overall context of well managed and extensive green infrastructure has proved to be attractive to the house building sector."
Branston Locks has consent for 2500 new homes, one million sq ft of commercial space along with a village centre, significant green infrastructure and a new primary school.
