Birmingham based Nurton Developments has now leased the entire third floor at its Lyndonplace office scheme in Sheldon, following a 10 year lease being taken by Home Learning College.
Just over 6,000 sq ft, with the option to increase its space by a further 2,100 sq ft, has been taken by the UK’s biggest provider of professional distance learning courses. Home Learning College is moving its team of telephone-based course advisers from a nearby location, as a result of recent and forecasted expansion. This follows on from the British Heart Foundation taking 8,500 sq ft towards the end 2011 for its new regional headquarters. The Heart of England NHS Trust has also been a tenant of the entire fourth floor since 2009.
Nurton acquired Lyndonplace on the A45 Coventry Road in a partial sale and leaseback from Specialist Computer Holdings (SCH) in 2006. The building then underwent extensive refurbishment both externally and to the common areas, plus the vacant third and fourth floors to create open-plan air-conditioned offices with raised floors.
A further 48,000 sq ft is currently occupied by SCH but further space could be made available by Nurton of up to 32,000 sq ft across the first and second floors, which would be newly refurbished.
