Sadlers Covey will be a small well-connected, infill development, which will seek eo respect, conserve and where possible enhance the biodiversity credentials of the land potentially with walking and cycle routes. Located on green belt land, a promotion agreement was entered into with a Trust, predicated on the likely future housing requirements of Solihull MBC local plan leading to housing growth being required in this village.
Nurton is proposing a development of 90 dwellings, in line with the proposed allocation in the submission version of the draft local plan, which will integrate into the existing urban area and provide a mix of housing to meet the needs of the community. This will include affordable as well as starter homes. The scheme will benefit from a linear park along the canal frontage, an equipped children’s play space and a new sustainable drainage area consisting of ponds as well as enhanced planting.
The draft local plan which will be Examined in Public in 2021. We hope to achieve an outline planning consent in 2022.
