Managing director since 1996, David works closely with the team at Nurton and the newly acquired Equation Properties, to oversee the strategic long-term direction of both businesses and general day-to-day management of their portfolios.
Outside of work, David’s interests are varied with an appreciation of both the arts and the countryside. He is a keen theatre goer and collector of classic cars and also enjoys skiing and looking after a small herd of Longhorn cattle.
Paul is a chartered accountant and attained a senior managerial position in a top 20 firm before joining Nurton in 2006 as Finance Director, becoming CEO in 2021. He has a deep understanding of the real estate market and is now responsible for co-ordinating all activities across the wider group, tightly managing all of its structural elements and transactions. This includes overseeing several recent complex deals including a corporate acquisition and property disposals and setting up and managing joint venture activity.
His strong commercial bias ensures all projects are continually evaluated to ensure they are delivering to expectations.
Sallyanne seamlessly integrated into Nurton Developments in May 2023, assuming the role of Personal Assistant to David and Paul. With over two decades of experience in the property and legal sectors, she manages the smooth administrative operations of the business.
Outside of work, Sallyanne finds fun in the competitive sport of netball, sharing time with friends and family, and rallying behind her beloved local team, Aston Villa FC.
Keith qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1966 before spending nearly a decade in West Africa. He returned aged 30 to establish a number of private companies, the foremost of which, Takare plc/Care First Group plc (formerly Nursing Homes Ltd) was sold to BUPA in January 1998 for approximately £300 million. The company, the largest operator of its type in Europe, employs in excess of 14,000 people.
He continues to act as Non-Executive Chairman of Listers Group Ltd, Automotive Dealers, together with a number of other private companies.
He was privileged to serve as High Sheriff of the West Midlands in the year 2016/17 and was awarded an OBE in 2019.
Working with Nurton since 2008, Rupert’s background is in the major agencies specialising in investment funding and development work. He was MD of CB Richard Ellis’ Birmingham office after first working at CBRE in London and also a Director Cushman’s (DTZ).
His primary roles include sourcing acquisitions across both Nurton’s Value Add & Strategic Land platforms & ensuring delivery of agreed business plans & asset management strategies. He also has a lead role in identifying joint venture partners.
Rupert’s outside interests include military history & medal collecting, rugby & exploring the outdoors with his two dogs.
Ian is a chartered surveyor specialising in development management, with a 30-year history in property working with PLC companies, as both client and consultant managing commercial and residential projects and mixed-use schemes.
For Nurton, Ian’s primary focus is managing its expanding strategic land interests and the ongoing development management of existing projects.
Outside work, Ian enjoys being in the countryside and joins David Bradshaw’s keen interest in classic cars, maintaining a small collection of cars spanning the 1930's to the 1970's.
Peter joined Nurton in July 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his previous role leading the Midlands' Planning & Development team at JLL. During his tenure, Peter played a pivotal role in representing Nurton in various strategic land promotions, such as Branston Locks. His main responsibilities at Nurton include identifying, evaluating, promoting, and guiding development opportunities through the intricate planning process.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Peter finds enjoyment in team sports, leisurely dog walks, and unraveling the mysteries of cryptic crosswords.
Ian heads up Nurton Retail Ltd, a joint venture he formed with Nurton Developments. Focusing on the sourcing and delivery of retail and roadside development opportunities across the UK, Ian brings over 25 years of retail and development experience, having previously held key roles at Lidl, Wickes, and The Junction Retail Park Fund, where he served as Development Director.
Also a former Senior Director at CBRE, Ian has worked as a Development Consultant for companies such as Hammerson Plc, Mercian Developments Ltd, Strathclyde Pension Fund, Estates and Agency Properties Ltd, and Barcroft Estates, managing and delivering substantial mixed-use and retail projects.
Ian’s outside interests include cycling, managing his son’s junior football team, and cooking.
Working with Nurton since 2012, David is a chartered surveyor with 15 years’ experience in the commercial real estate sector, having previously worked with the UK arm of Dutch property company, Wereldhave N.V, handling a mixed property portfolio weighted towards offices & industrial.
At Nurton, David asset manages mainly its office portfolio and works in partnership with property agents to implement and oversee its property strategies and smooth management of its investments.
For leisure, David enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors.
Arthur is a chartered account with a background in audit at Mazars LLP & financial accounting in various sectors. He is responsible for overseeing the finance team, ensuring a strong, control based approach to systems that are robust and fit for purpose, enabling efficient preparation of group & management information for internal & external purposes.
Jodie joined Nurton Developments' finance team member in March 2023, navigating the final years of her AAT exams. With a solid foundation of a practice background, she has over 3 years’ worth of experience in the accounting industry, now setting her sights on mastering the nuances of the property sector. Beyond the numbers, Jodie enjoys spending time with her horses and exploring new destinations.
Philip joined Nurton in 2006 to oversee the day-to-day business operations of the company’s flex space office model - Flexibase Ltd which operates in Birmingham and Derby. He is the go-to person for anything tech in the business, with 20 years’ experience in implementing and administering IT and telecoms systems, which makes him uniquely qualified to manage Flexibase’s virtual office service.
To relax, Philip enjoys woodworking and taking long walks with his dog.
