

This 50 acres gross farm was granted planning permission for 400 homes, a primary school, a medical centre and nursing home. This was achieved via a promotion agreement with the owner of the site.
A truly sustainable mixed use recommendation was the route to the successful planning permission which was granted in July 2013 but was not always easy, and indeed at one stage we appealed to the Inspectorate however we continued engagement with the local authority and developments within their plan making meant that we were in constant contact with them and able to convince them that a more consensual approach would be to the benefit of both us the promoter and them the representatives of the local community.
No changes were made.
The site was subsequently sold to Davidson Homes of Leicestershire and they will commence development of this new community from January 2016.
